About Renewable Energy Massachusetts LLC
Renewable Energy Massachusetts LLC (REM) is a Massachusetts-based solar energy development company founded in 2009 that has developed several large-scale operating solar projects in Massachusetts. REM is a member of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, has been an active participant in the Massachusetts DOER and DPU solar energy policy making process, and is currently developing several megawatt-scale municipal and community shared solar energy projects in the Commonwealth.
Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources launches solar incentive program
January 1, 2010 (Cambridge, MA) – Effective January 1, 2010, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), acting under authority granted by the Green Communities Act of 2008, implemented regulations to launch the Commonwealth’s new Solar-Renewable Energy Credit (Solar-REC) incentive program. The Solar-REC program is designed to provide the next generation of solar facilities in Massachusetts with an important multi-year revenue stream to assist the securing of long-term project financing.
